Family background

Arthur Eric Dunn was born in Sydney on 31 December 1901, son of Edward and Ethel Dunn. In 1925 at Sydney he married Gladys M (b.1898), daughter of James and Fanny Dalrymple. One daughter Gladys May Victoria Dunn married Martin Ashley at Redfern in 1942. Arthur Dunn died at Carramar, NSW, on 2 May 1980, aged 78.

Occupation & interests

Arthur Eric Dunn was living in Newtown when he enlisted in the Australian Army in July 1940 and again in March 1941, being discharged each time.

Community activity

In 1950, Dunn was appointed as one of the Trustees of the newly formed Camperdown Memorial Rest Park.
