Family background

George Valentine Slough was born in 1866 in Growlers, Victoria, son of Frederick John Slough and Catherine Hillam. He married Henrietta P Lussenhoff (1869-1917) on 22 November 1887 in Redfern, NSW and they had 6 sons and 3 daughters. Slough died on 11 December 1952 in Redfern, NSW, aged 86 years and he was cremated at Rookwood Crematorium. He lived at 7 Union Street, Waterloo (1935).
