John Thomas Byrne was born 6 November 1869 in Sydney, NSW, son of John Byrne and Ellen Theresa Slevin. He married Frances Ann Regan (1869-1926) 4 July 1894 in Barcaldine, Queensland. There were 6 sons and 5 daughters. John Thomas (Bricky) Byrne died at Sydney Hospital on 16 July 1934, aged 64 years and he was buried in the Catholic Section of Rookwood Cemetery. He lived at 39 Botany Road, Waterloo in 1930. John Thomas Byrne left a Will and his estate and assets were assessed at £605.
