Patrick Blakeney (also spelled as Blakeny) was born in Sydney in 1843. He was married to Mary Ann Banks (1846-94) at Sydney in 1872. He died on 3 February 1914, aged 71 years.

Local government service

Patrick Blakeney was an alderman on Camperdown Council 1868-71. During Blakeney’s time on Camperdown Council, it was preoccupied with laying the basic infrastructure of the suburb, forming streets, kerbing and guttering them and seeking to improve drainage.
