Family background

William Biddles was born 11 March 1843 at Queanbeyan, NSW, the son of George Biddles and Sarah Greenwood Travis. He married Barbara Mackenzie Munro (1849-1947) 15 August 1872 at St Barnabas Church, Parramatta, and they had two sons and four daughters.Biddles died 8 March 1926 at his residence Bartlett Street, Summer Hill, and he was interred in the Church of England Section of Rookwood Cemetery. He lived at 46 Cleveland Street, Darlington.

Occupation & interests

William Biddles was a warehouseman. He was a Freemason and a member of No. 8 Royal Lodge, Protestant Alliance Friendly Society of Australasia.

Local government service

William Biddles was an alderman on Darlington Council in 1879-80.
