Ernest Sydney Vipond was born on 30 December 1896 and died in 1967.

Occupation & interests

Vipond worked for the NSW Railway and Tramway Department from 1913 to 1958 as a fitter. He started his apprenticeship at Randwick Tramsheds but spent most of his working life at Eveleigh Railway Yards. He was dismissed during the Great Strike of 1917 on 27 August and re-employed from 26 September. He was a member of the Australian Labor Party (ALP).

Ernest Sydney Vipond was an alderman on Paddington Council in 1932-34.
