Robert Mackey’s genealogical details have not been determined. He may be the Robert Mackey who died at Rockdale in 1916, son of Robert and Harriett.

From 1891 to 1905, Robert Mackey was practising as an architect at 311 Crown Street. His domestic architecture included plans of a villa residence for Mr J Salt at Stanmore in the 1890s. He (or his son) was in partnership with HE Budden as Budden and Mackay, architects.

Local government service

Robert Mackey was Alderman for Cook Ward, 1 December 1893 to 30 November 1896 and for Flinders Ward, 1 December 1902 to 30 November 1904. He was a member of the Finance Committee, the Health and Recreations Committee, and the Electric Lighting Committee between 1903 and 1904.
