Family background
Thomas Alfred Harricks was born c1830 the son of John Harricks and his wife Isabella. He married (1) Ellen Coyne (-1890) 28 June 1852 at St Andrews Church, Sydney, and they had three sons and a daughter. He married (2) Maria Louisa Hoadley (1843-1922) 13 March 1894 at St Alban’s Church of England at Golden Grove. Harricks died 7 April 1922, aged 92 years, at his residence 39 Darlington Road, Darlington, and he was interred in the Church of England Section of Rookwood Cemetery. He left a Will and his estate and assets were valued at £1,447. Thomas Alfred Harricks lived at 36 Darlington Road, Darlington.
Occupation & interests
Thomas Alfred Harricks was a house agent. He was a Freemason and a member of the Young Australia Lodge No. 25. He was the Treasurer of the Darlington Parliamentary, Literary and Debating Society in 1892 and a member of the Australian National Guard. He was a justice of the peace (JP).

Thomas Alfred Harricks was an alderman on Darlington Council in 1895-1913.
