Family background

Henry George Dudley was born on the 8 May 1868 at Westminster, London, England, the son of George Kacha Dudley and his wife Dorothy. He married Elizabeth Mary Jane Shapter on 30 May 1894 at Sydney, NSW. Dudley died at Alexandria on the 22 December 1929, aged 61 years; he was buried in the Church of England section of Botany Cemetery. He lived at 102 Great Buckingham Street, Redfern.

Occupation & interests

Dudley worked for the NSW Public Service in the Resumed Properties Department, as a foreman and plasterer.

Local government service

Henry Dudley was an alderman on Alexandria Council 1908-19 representing the West Ward.
