Family background

William Edgar Miller was born 2 September 1885 at Waterloo, NSW, the son of William Miller and Janet Cunningham. He married May Elizabeth Hughes (-1990) on 20 October 1915 at Redfern, NSW. Miller died at Prince Henry Hospital, Little Bay, NSW, on 23 October 1955, aged 70 years, he was buried at Rookwood Cemetery. Miller lived at 78 Brandling Street, Alexandria.

Occupation & interests

A combination of public service and self interest attracted Miller to nominate for the 1925 Alexandria Council elections.

Local government service

William Edgar Miller was an alderman on Alexandria Council 1925-28 representing West Ward. His father, also named William, served on Alexandria Council 1894-1900.
