Family background
Francis John Summers was born 1 October 1884 at Sydney, NSW, the son of William Summers and his wife Mary Ellen Harrold. He married Ethel Mary Steel (1886-1969) 23 August 1905 at Sydney, NSW, and they had two sons and two daughters. Francis John Summers died 30 April 1976, aged 91 years, at hospital, late of Earlwood, and he was cremated at Rookwood Crematorium. Summers lived at 18 Alma Street, Darlington.
