Family background
George Davison was born at Parramatta in 1827. He was married on 7 November 1854 at Camperdown to Eliza Ekins (1825-1918). They had one daughter (Eliza Jane 1856-1940). He died on 2 March 1989, aged 70 years.
Occupation & interests
A resident of Camperdown from 1841, Davison was publican of the Governor Bourke Hotel, Parramatta Road from 1858-1859, 1865-1879, and 1887-1890. He was also a one time owner of Camperdown Saleyards.
Local government service
George Davison was an alderman on Camperdown Coucnil from 1868-78 and its mayor in 1869.
