Herbert John Wood was born 1909 at St Peters, NSW, the son of James Herbert Wood and Violet Emma Mackinley. He married Dulcie Irene Dodd 14 April 1934 at Kogarah, NSW, and they had a son and a daughter. Wood died at Kogarah, 22 September 1986, aged 77 years, and he was cremated at Botany Crematorium. Herbert John Wood lived at 15 Ivy Street, Darlington.
