Family background

James Heighington was born in 1843 or possibly 1845 based on different information given at his death. He married Mary Sheehan in 1868 and they had two children. In 1872, he lived in Macdonald Street. He was a cousin of James Bryan, also an alderman on Erskineville Council. Heighington died in May 1880 and was buried at Rookwood on 19 May 1880.
