Family background
Seaforth Proctor was born in Sydney in 1843. He was married on 1 March 1873 in Sydney to German-born Amelia Becker (1847-1907); they had two daughters and one son. He died on 21 August 1909, aged 39 years.
Community activity
At Camperdown Town Hall on 7 March 1888 Proctor moved the formation of a local volunteer fie brigade. Ten men joined the committee of volunteer firemen.
Local government service
Seaforth Proctor was an alderman on Camperdown Council for two terms: 1886-89 and 1891-97. He was mayor in 1891-92.
